Standing in the grounds of Scotland’s most prestigious grain whisky distillery is Hendrick’s Gin Palace and Distillery.

A tall, black brick wall with a set of refurbished cathedral doors creates a visual and spatial separation between the custom-designed complex and William Grant & Sons’ whisky distillery.

The IG Masonry Support Brick Slip Feature Arches played a key role in the architect’s vision for the state-of-the-art project. Five soaring corbelled Brick Slip Feature Arches with intricate bond patterns span the main entrance façade of the Gin Palace foyer inscribed with Hendrick’s ‘H’ in a concrete diamond.

Two towering Brick Slip Feature Arches also form the entrance of the two glasshouses that flank the bright foyer, all of similar architectural design to those spanning the entrance façade. Internally, three deep soffit arches visually separate the foyer from three stills, which are prominently on display.

IG Masonry Support manufactured each arch in offsite, factory-controlled conditions from a consignment of brick used onsite to ensure the prefabricated components blended seamlessly.
