Our Achievements

Our Commitment

We are committed to being Net Zero by 2050 in line with Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) goals.

We all have a responsibility too drive change and at the Keystone Group, we have the ability to improve the built environment and therefore play our part within the construction industry.

We will succeed by working efficiently, procuring responsibly and reducing waste. We are innovating effectively to operate our business at minimal expense to the environment, whilst supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Key Achievements

Our Sustainability Task Force is made up of ‘champions’ from each Keystone Group brand and they are responsible for leading the way in informing our sustainability strategy.

Keystone has committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and pledge to become a Net Zero business by 2050.

100% of all energy consumed at our UK production facilities is currently provided by renewable sources.

90% of our manufacturing waste is recycled and we continue to look at ways of improving this percentage.

Investment in PV panels at our Swadlincote and Overseal manufacturing facilities will provide 70% of energy requirements saving 194 tonnes of carbon per year in phase 1 and 504 tonnes in phase 2.

Electric forklifts are now in use across all of our manufacturing facilities.

By switching our Stockgap fleet from diesel to GTL, we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50% with an 88% reduction in nitrogen oxide whilst we seek other green fleet solutions.

Having already made significant strides to reduce our carbon footprint, we aim to reduce our carbon emissions for manufacturing by up to 60% by 2030.

As we accelerate towards the environmental challenges ahead, Keylite will sustain a quality, innovative approach to supply solutions inline with the more conscious consumer. Sustainability is already embedded within all future business plans for Keylite.

Net Zero is our goal and with many of the major actions already undertaken, we are well on our way to achieving this as quickly as possible, ensuring that our customers can benefit from our reduced carbon products and ensuring a sustainable future for all.

The evidence of climate change affects us all. Smartroof is committed to mitigating our environmental impact for our customers and colleagues to ensure we are driving a business we are proud to sustain.

We aim to achieve our vision through actions such as implementing electric forklift trucks, adopting a zero to landfill policy, investing in rainwater harvesting and achieving our EPD certificates.
