In one of the country’s most well-known seaside resorts, leading housebuilder Weston Homes launched a new £52.8m residential-led development, Victoria Central.
Located at the southern end of Victoria Avenue near Southend Victoria Station, the development includes 217 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, a landscaped courtyard, an entrance foyer, and 275 m² of ground-floor commercial space.
Specified due to the ‘one-piece system’, Weston Homes identified Keyfix as its system of choice because it contributed to a simple and efficient installation onsite. Keyfix supplied 2,835m of the Non-combustible Cavity Tray (NCCT) System, 1,297m of Non-combustible Cavity Tray Lintel and 1,960 pre-formed Corner Units which played a pivotal role in ensuring the construction of a safe build and future-proofing against possible building regulation changes.
Each product is designed to last the lifetime of a building and are fully compliant, A1 fire-rated systems. They are manufactured using class A1 non-combustible grade 304 austenitic stainless steel with a 125+ year lifespan for the entire system.
