When Morgan Sindall Construction was tasked with developing a new extra care facility on Willis Road in Gosport, it turned to the expertise of David Smith St Ives for a crucial aspect of the project.

The David Smith St Ives team is renowned for its excellence in designing and manufacturing bespoke doorsets and eagerly took on this project, which is part of a substantial £45 million investment in extra care facilities in the Hampshire area.

The team designed and supplied 125 doorsets and 25 screens throughout the building. The range of doorsets included primed frames and crown cut aw oak veneered doors throughout the building and a visually appealing entrance to each apartment with ironmongery.

Each doorset is third party fire accredited up to FD30S, has a FED security performance up to PAS24 and a FED acoustic performance up to Rw:29dB, exceeding regulation requirements while blending with the building’s aesthetics.
