Celebrating National Engineers Week with Ebenezer Sarkodie
Read about his time as an Engineer with Keystone Lintels
As part of National Engineers Week, we are proud to spotlight Ebenezer Sarkodie, Senior Technical Engineer at Keystone Lintels in Swadlincote.
Ebenezer joined Keystone Lintels in September 2017 as a Graduate Technical Engineer after graduating from University of Derby with a BSc in Civil Engineering. Through continuous professional development and a strong technical foundation, he has progressed to his current role as Senior Technical Engineer.
Today, Ebenezer leads on complex technical enquiries, supports both internal teams and external stakeholders, and acts as a key technical contact for major house builders. He ensures compliance with structural standards and best practice while helping deliver practical, effective design solutions.
Beyond his core responsibilities, Ebenezer delivers CPD presentations to engineers, architects, and contractors. He plays an active role in mentoring Apprentice Engineers, supporting the development of early talent within the business.
Reflecting on his career journey, Ebenezer highlights the importance of building strong technical foundations, seeking responsibility early and developing communication skills alongside engineering ability.
When asked what advice he has for budding engineers, Ebenezer said:
“Focus on building strong technical foundations early, competence builds confidence. Seek responsibility rather than waiting for it as growth comes from stepping forward. Be proactive in learning about the commercial side of engineering, not just the technical.”
Ebenezer’s progression demonstrates how commitment, initiative, and leadership at every stage of a career can create meaningful growth opportunities.
We’re proud to celebrate engineers like Ebenezer this National Engineers Week and thank him for his continued contribution to the business and the wider industry.
