Purpose of the Job:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Designer with roof truss/timber experience  to manage the design department and prepare roof panel drawing packs for approval and manufacture. Liaise with both Customer and Production to maintain a steady and accurate flow of information in a reasonable timeframe.

Job Description:

• Manage the drawing team in an efficient and polite manner
• Produce accurate drawing packs for production in a timely manner
• Communicate directly with Customer technical teams and answer their queries
• Contribute to the development of new designs
• Engage with management in a responsible manner

Personal Specification

• Previous design experience
• knowledge of roof truss/timber sector is essential
• Profiecient in the use of AutoCAD or similar design package
• Ability to work to set deadlines
• Some management experience
