The Keystone Group is pleased to announce that two of its Group products have been shortlisted for Construction News Awards this year. Keylite’s Futuretherm Roof Window and IG’s Brick Slip Masonry Supports will go head-to-head for the coveted ‘Commercial Innovation of the Year’ award at the ceremony on 30th June.
Renowned as serial innovators in the industry, Keystone’s ever expanding portfolio of products are designed to offer a range of solutions to house builders.
IG Masonry Support Systems focus on creating products that solve common problems onsite and enhance long term building performance. IG’s design team identified the need for an easy-to-install system for suspending brick from the underside of masonry support, producing precision finished brick soffit details.
IG’s revolutionary Brick Slip Masonry Support systems are prefabricated units manufactured off-site and delivered complete with bricks bonded to them. Extensive R&D produced a system with minimum components and maximum adjustability; providing simple onsite installation and offering up to a 90% reduction of on-site labour and a 70% weight saving against an equivalent concrete product, negating the need for mechanical handling for openings up to 2.1m.
Keylite’s Futuretherm Roof Window has also been shortlisted under the ‘Commercial Innovation of the Year’ category. Keylite has always been regarded as a serial innovator in the roof windows industry. The flick fit brackets and sash hinge finger spring innovations (both of which changed and greatly simplified the installation process for installers), were ground-breaking developments that have been widely regarded as significant developments within the industry.
Following on from these, Keylite’s reputation for innovation has continued unabated with the new Futuretherm Roof Window range, offering many new features including the patented expanding integrated thermal collar.
The Construction News Awards will take place on 30th June 2015 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Winners will be announced live on the night and we wish all finalists the best of luck.
