In an industry dominated by men, Keystone Group CEO Eithne Kelly has made an invaluable impact on the culture of the company. We are therefore delighted that she has been shortlisted as ‘Business Leader of the Year’ at the Women in Construction Awards 2017.
The Keystone Group has grown from a small company with a handful of staff, to a hugely successful, multi-award winning group which employs over 1,000 people. Keystone was formed in 1989 with Eithne joining soon afterwards and her input, leadership and guidance has been instrumental for fuelling the growth of the company since then.
The last three years has seen the number of staff grow significantly and turnover increase markedly. This relentless growth has been driven by the introduction of three new companies (IG Elements, Smartroof & IG Masonry Support) and extensive growth across Europe and further afield for the Keylite brand.
Speaking of her nomination, Eithne commented: ‘I am honoured to represent The Keystone Group at this awards ceremony. I feel it is recognition for everything we have achieved as a group over the last number of years. With so many strong brands amongst our group and with our new strategic partners on board, we at Keystone are continually growing and strengthening our position in the construction industry. I am humbled by the nomination and feel it is a recognition of the input of each member of the company as whole.’
The Women in Construction Awards, organised by Excel Media Solutions in conjunction with Housing Magazine and Builder & Engineer Magazine, provides a spotlight for female achievers in the UK construction industries. The final results will be announced at the annual gala dinner on the evening of March 1st, when the Building sector’s most talented female professionals converge on The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester to enjoy an evening of awards, networking and entertainment.
