Business Development Manager

Company Overview 

Smartroof has pioneered the market for insulated roof panels over the last 10 years. Smartroof design and supply a complete package to leading national house builders and is well respected in its field. Due to continued growth and development we require a Business Development Manager to work alongside our existing team.

Position Overview 

This is a new permanent position within the company. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with experience in Business Development seeking a fresh opportunity within a growing and innovative company. The potential employee will primarily be responsible for developing new business and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and organised individual who can comfortably work unsupervised alone and as part of a team.

Job description 

  • Introduce Smartroof to and develop working relationships with new customers within the house building industry
  • Expand the regional coverage of our existing customer base
  • Establish Smartroof on the tender lists of target customers
  • Bring in and increase the volume of desired enquiries
  • Achieve all sales targets set by the General Manager in order to help grow the business
  • Develop the awareness of smartroof amongst Architects and SAP assessors and promote the use of roof panel technology
  • Provide technical sales presentations to consultants and customers

Job skills & Qualifications 

  • Experience in a similar role within the construction (or related) industry
  • Clear focus on customer service
  • Target driven
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Numeracy & literacy skills
  • Computer literate – experience with Microsoft office
  • Full clean driving license
