The Keystone Group are delighted that three of our group products have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2016 Housebuilder Product Awards.
Our innovative Keylite Futuretherm roof window has been shortlisted for ‘Best Building Fabric Product’ for the third year, while the IG Elements Redi Dormer is a finalist for ‘Best Site Product’. The Smartroof Room in roof panel system is in the running for ‘Best Health and Safety Product’.
The new Keylite Roof Window range with Futuretherm technology is now the preferred choice of many leading builders, featuring a unique integrated Expanding Thermal Collar, which stands apart from all other products in the market.
Keylite’s research demonstrated that accessory thermal collars were seldom bought or fitted. This results in a 20mm gap between the window frame and the roof timbers remaining uninsulated, causing cold bridging and heat loss in otherwise well-insulated roofs. With Futuretherm, however, the installer fits the window as normal and then pulls the release tapes to activate the foam collar. The foam collar instantly starts to expand, closing the gap around the frame in a simple action.
The IG Elements Redi Dormer is a fully-moulded one piece unit, which arrives onsite ready for installation, reducing the demand for skilled labour onsite. IG Elements is committed to developing products that exceed current regulations and their research and development team work in response to challenges facing the house builder. IG Elements’s Redi dormers have thus evolved to offer industry-leading thermal performance and an improved installation process.
The Smartroof system has been designed and developed as an offsite product to overcome the challenges faced during roof construction. This way of rethinking roof construction delivers proven benefits in terms of thermal performance, consistent quality, speed of construction and most importantly health and safety benefits onsite.
Sean Coyle, CEO for the Keystone Group comments; “The Housebuilder Product Awards recognise innovation and excellence and at Keystone we pride ourselves on developing innovative products which solve real problems on site. We are honoured that industry experts have recognised this and shortlisted three of our group products”.
The Housebuilder Product Awards will take place on 29th June at Edgbaston Stadium. Winners will be announced live at the gala lunch, we wish all the finalists the best of luck.
